Handwoven sheep's wool cushion crafted on a pedal loom, following a traditional technique from Teotitlán del Valle. The geometric design is integrated directly into the weave, creating a firm and well-defined surface. In this piece, the natural un-dyed grey center and the raw wool base act as neutral elements. Surrounding them, the color is built through an intense initial dye bath and successive additional baths that modulate the intensity and generate new nuances. In certain sections, complementary pigments are incorporated to achieve a third and fourth color. The result is a balanced composition, where the natural tones enhance the strength of the color and showcase the artisanal dyeing process.
